Danube River Basin District – UNDP / GEF

The implementation of the EU Water Framework Directive (WFD) is a challenge for the International Commission for the Protection of the Danube River (ICPDR). IFOK assists the Danube River Commission in developing a professional conception for the watershed in coordinating the countries along the river and in elaborating a concept for the EU-Commission reporting. Furthermore, on behalf of the UNDP/GEF Danube Regional Project, IFOK carries out an international workshop with leading experts from the Danube countries.
