Grants & Licences
It is estimated by the World Bank that an investment of more than € 30 billion will be required by 2020 for upgrading and building power plants in the transmission and distribution sectors, and in the renewable energy sources (RES) sector. This sweeping change has transformed the electricity and energy market into one of the most exciting sectors of growth and opportunity in Europe. The European Union has established key priorities and binding policies related to the production of electricity from renewable sources. The present investment framework calls for a marked increase in production from Wind, Solar, Geothermal, and Biomass/Biofuels, which are expected to increasingly be used for transport fuels. In many countries in the EU there is legislation for subsidizing investments in RES energy generation facilities. In this context, E-I Consulting Group can support investors in acquiring government grants to subsidize their investments in RES energy production facilities. In many cases investors commission consulting firms to look after the government grants application procedures. E-I Consulting Group can also support you in acquiring energy production licences. The services cover all stages of the licensing process, including relevant studies for production licences, environmental assessments and licences, and installation and operating licences.

ROKAS RENEWABLES, AN IBERDROLA COMPANY: acquiring grants for investment in solar energy
Hypodomi prepared a feasibility study and a business plan for the establishment of a €35 million energy production park from Renewable Energy Sources (solar energy). The project included in the business plan was proposed in conformance with the Greek Investment Incentives Law for the drawdown of government grants for financing such investments. During project implementation, Hypodomi monitored the technological and financial aspects of the project, to ensure project development was in compliancewith the law’s directives.
