Corporate Responsibility (CR) is a major issue for European organizations going forward. A successful CR approach is a consistent CR-strategy closely linked to the companies core business. This strategy is aiming at enhancing business success and involves external and relevant stakeholders. In this context, the E-I Consulting Group has decided to launch the European Corporate Responsibility Award. The objective is, to give the opportunity to companies to share, among themselves, their practices and experiences on the subject. A highly qualified jury, composed of CR key figures, will study each company’s case on the basis of various criteria, among which the innovativeness of the CR-approaches.
The aim of the competition was to promote the conception of CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) in the context of an action document adopted by the European Union in 2001. The jury of the national finals consisted of professionals and exceptional personalities from the academic, social and business sphere. Three companies with the best score in the national finals had the chance to participate in the international finals. The jury of the international finals was appointed by the organiser E-I Consulting Group from European Union member states and the partners of the competition.
